In theory, a converter should work flawlessly, but in reality, it's often connected to tedious troubleshooting. Hot-plugging is still not possible, even after the extra editing, so I can already anticipate that the USB-C to Thunderbolt converter might require some form of extra editing. I'm using Clover right now, so I'm not 100% sure. Had to do some extra editing to make it work but the newer Multibeast versions will surely be able to provide the necessary Thunderbolt drivers. When I built my hackintosh, I ran into some Thunderbolt problems at first. Relying on a USB-C converter can turn out to be a nightmare. If you can, buy a motherboard with onboard Thunderbolt ports.
